- A wallet must be given with money in it. to avoid bad luck if you receive an empty wallet for a gift, put some money in the wallet and give it to another.

- An illness inflicted by a witch will get worse if the patient, or the victim of the witch’s curse, seeks medical treatment.
- Garlic protects one from evil spirits and vampires.
- When travelling in an unfamiliar place either by foot or by car and you find yourself lost, or as if you’re just going in circles in trying to find the way out of there, wear your clothes inside out. this will defeat the malicious spirits playing evil tricks on you.
- A sparrow is said to carry the souls of the dead so killing this bird is believed to bring misfortune.
- A black cat walking towards you is akin to good fortune coming your way. but if the black cat walks away, the good luck goes with it.
