  • The amount of donation you give to your church will return to you two-fold in the form of blessings.

  • Wish when you see a falling star (a falling meteor,)- will come true.

  • Keeping a lock of hair from a baby’s first haircut brings good luck.

  • Friday the thirteenth is universally regarded as a super unlucky day owing to the double dose of unlucky day and unlucky number.

  • A group of 13 people must avoid eating or dining together as one of them will die before the year is out.

  • Stepping on cracks in the sidewalk or any walkway is akin to inviting a curse.

  • Many people regard Friday as an unlucky day — as a bad day to
    commence a journey, to marry, to make any investment. The only
    reason given is that Friday is an unlucky day.

  • Sweeping the floor in the evening is compared to “sweeping away all the blessings of the day”.

  • A broken mirror will bring seven years of bad luck.

  • Breaking a plate or glass, especially if it had not already been cracked, means death of your love ones.

  • Saying goodbye to a friend on a bridge is all-advised because you will never see each other again.

  • A black cat crossing your path is widely believed to be an omen of misfortune.

  • The closer the wedding date gets, the riskier it will be for the couple to travel.  it is believed that evil spirits envy their happiness and that these malevolent spirits will put the couple in harm’s way should they travel far.

  • The bride must not wear, or try on, her wedding dress before her wedding day or misfortune will be fall their marriage.

  • The groom must not see the wedding dress before the wedding day.  it is unlucky to do so.

  • The bridge and groom must NOT see each other, or be with each other, on the eve of the wedding if they want thier marriage to last forever.

  • A shower of rice grain to the newlyweds after the ceremony brings prosperity to the couple while a shower of rose petals brings sweetness to the relationship.

  • The marriage is bound to fail if the groom drops the wedding ring during the ceremony.

  • The spouse who’d fall asleep first on their wedding day will be the first to die.

  • The one who catches the bridal bouquet is believed to be the next bride.
