Influenza: Signs and Symptoms, Prevention, Treatment
Influenza (trangkaso) – upper respiratory infection.
It is a viral infection that affects mainly the nose, throat, bronchi and, occasionally, lungs.
Causative Agent: Flu Virus
Incubation Period: 1 to 3 days
Signs and Symptoms:
- Red / watery eyes
- Fever and chills
Complications:
- Pneumonia
- Brain damage
- Respiratory tract infection
Prevention:
- Avoid crowded places
- Isolate the patient
- Avoid using the utensils of the patient
Treatment:
- Take plenty of rest
- Exercise
- Drink plenty of fluid
- Anti-fever medicine
