What is ENDOSCOPY?
Endoscopy is the process of viewing the internal of a patient’s body cavity or hollow organ.
Endoscope is the instrument used in this process. It is long, flexible viewing tube with light and lens. This instrument is threaded though body opening to look for any disease. If the doctor found an abnormal tissue inside the patient’s body, he can use a small clipper on the endoscope to remove a small amount of tissue as a sample for analysis.
This technology is increasingly, because endoscopic procedures are cheaper than surgery.
